Upon successful completion of this class, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency with the Oklahoma Secretary of State website and process to establish a new business.
- Explain the differences between main business structures (Sole proprietor, LLC, C Corporation, S Corporation) and the advantages and disadvantages of each one.
- Evaluate business bank account options that match the needs of the business and explain the necessity of banking relationships to business growth.
- Recognize the differences between business and personal credit and begin the process of establishing business credit.
- Define the main risks associated with a business and select the appropriate insurance products and coverage to protect the business.
- Set up an accounting system that meets the specific needs of the business
